William Kojo Agbeti Joins 11th BSIFF Jury

Award-winning Ghanaian filmmaker, director, cinematographer, editor, and producer William Kojo Agbeti has joined the jury for the 11th Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF), bringing more than a decade of creative excellence to this year’s festival.

Over the years, William has built a distinguished career through compelling films that have earned recognition both in Ghana and internationally.

His work reflects a commitment to authentic African storytelling, technical excellence, and cinematic innovation.

He served as the cinematographer and editor of Azali—Ghana’s first official submission to the Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film—and directed acclaimed productions including Nirvana, Downside Up, and La Manor.

These achievements have established him as one of Ghana’s respected contemporary filmmakers.

As a member of the 11th BSIFF Jury, William Kojo Agbeti brings valuable industry experience, creative insight, and a passion for mentoring emerging talent, contributing to the festival’s mission of celebrating outstanding African and global cinema.
